From Blank to Beautiful
Step 1: Choose Your Piece
Browse the selection of ceramic pieces available and pick the one that speaks to you! Our studio has a variety, from mugs and plates to figurines and seasonal items.
Step 2: Plan Your Design
Decide on your design and color scheme. We have idea books, sample pieces, and tools like stencils and stamps to help inspire your creativity.
Step 3: Select Your Colors
Choose from a wide range of paint colors and glazes. Don’t be afraid to mix and match! We offer palettes to test colors before applying them to your piece.
Step 4: Start Painting!
Grab your brushes and start painting! You can apply multiple coats for a bolder look or use techniques like sponging and layering for added texture. Don’t worry if you’re a beginner—our staff will be there to assist you with tips and techniques.
Step 5: Let It Dry
Once you’re satisfied with your design, let it dry for a little bit, then head over to our fun VW bus counter to pay for your masterpiece. From there, Let’s Paint! Pottery Studio will take care of the rest!
Step 6: Glazing and Firing
After your piece has dried, it will be dipped in a clear glaze. Our staff will then fire it in a kiln, which makes the colors pop and gives your piece a shiny, finished look.
Step 7: Pick Up Your Masterpiece
After the firing process, which typically takes about 10 days, your piece will be ready for pickup. We'll note the expected completion date on your receipt, but feel free to give us a call anytime to check on its status. Once it’s ready, you can take home and enjoy your one-of-a-kind creation!

FAQs
I’m not very creative. How can you help me?
No worries! We have plenty of tools and tips to help spark your creativity. From idea books and sample pieces to stamps, stencils, and more—we’ve got everything you need to get inspired. Plus, we’ll guide you step-by-step on how to use these tools like a pro!
Will I be notified when my piece is ready?
Due to the high volume of pieces, we’re unable to call each customer individually. However, the pick-up date will be clearly noted on your receipt, and you’re welcome to give us a call anytime to check on the status of your masterpiece!
I can’t pick up my item next week. How long will you hold it for me?
We’ll keep your piece on our pick-up shelf for 60 days. If you need more time, feel free to call the studio after 60 days to check if your item is still available for pick-up.
Do you have parking?
YES! We have onsite parking. While the lot is small and spaces are limited, there are additional parking areas nearby, all within a short walking distance.
What forms of payment do you accept?
We accept a variety of payment methods, including contactless payments, VISA, Mastercard, and cash—though, unfortunately, we don’t accept checks, Venmo, or the blood of your firstborn. You get the idea! We can’t wait to have you come paint with us!
How long does it take?
Your pottery piece will be ready within 7 days, and a specific pick-up date will be provided at checkout. Rush processing may be available based on the size and type—please inquire before purchasing.
Why does it take 7 days?
After you paint your piece, it needs a full day to dry. Then, we apply a clear glaze, which also requires another day to set. Once dry, we place the pieces into one of our three kilns on-site. The firing and cooling process takes about a day and a half. After that—VOILA! Your masterpiece is ready to be picked up.
Are you part of a national chain?
No, we are proud to be locally and family-owned and operated!
My child ate some paint—are your paints and glazes safe?
Yes, absolutely! All of our paints are non-toxic and safe for children, though they probably don’t taste very good! We use dinner-safe and water-safe paints and glazes, and everything we use is lead-free.
Does Let’s Paint! Pottery have a reward system?
YES! We love seeing familiar faces and welcoming back our returning customers! We're currently developing a rewards system and special promotions, so be sure to check back with us for exciting updates!
Last minute Masterpieces!
Walk-ins are always welcome but keep in mind that we are only open during our regular business hours. If you feel like the next Michelangelo, ready to create a masterpiece an hour before closing, we’ll happily accommodate you! However, we highly recommend making a reservation to guarantee a 2-hour window to unleash your creativity. Please note that the last reservation time is always 2 hours before closing and also available at the start of our business day.
